The Trip Over

So where did I leave off. Aww yes on the way to the airport. Well as you can see there are some pictures below and a bunch of story lines to go with them but let’s start where I left off. So I left for the airport around noon since there was no food at the Hotel and I was getting pretty hungry by this time. I took the shuttle to the airport and walked in with United directly in front of me. Maybe things would start to turn around…. So with my two massive bags I walk toward the counter and see this is for business premier. OK. So I walked all the way down to the other side and stopped dead in my tracks. The sign said domestic, Caribbean, and something else I can’t remember. Great I thought so I asked. The lady said it’s on the other side of this. So I walked all the back to by business premier rounded the corner and got in line. The lady asked where I was flying to and I said Austria. She asked where my connection was. I said direct flight. She said you’re in the wrong place. I could tell this was going to be another long day. Where is the counter? Around the front to the left. AHHHHH!!!! (I didn’t actually scream but I was a bit distressed and so she went to find me a cart for my bags. Five minutes later she returns and I go to stand in the Lufthansa/Austrian Air line. Once I got in line I realized that the flashing sign over the check-in said they didn’t open until 12:30 which wasn’t too long of a wait and so there I stood. I went up checked-in. Attendant: Do you prefer a window or an aisle. Me: Aisle. (Big Mistake) I went through security, found my gate, and stopped to eat free chipotle courtesy of United Meal voucher. I went to the gate to wait for about 4 hours which wasn’t too bad since there was an interesting older couple in front of me that I ended up talking to for most of the time. They were Ukrainian but lived in Middleburg Heights outside of Cleveland!!! But they came over that morning. We got on the plane and my seat was in the first row of the economy class cabin. Not too shabby I thought. Of course I had to put my bag up for take-off but I had ton of extra leg room. Come to find out that since it was an emergency seat it didn’t lean back. So I spent half the night trying to get comfortable and the rest of the night listening to a baby cry. Thoroughly exhausted, I ate breakfast but was happy that we arrived half an hour early. So there it was. I landed in Vienna safe and sound!!!
