Day 10- Streda

Today was the same class in the morning and afternoon. In our morning class we sang in Slovak for about a half an hour but we have been doing this quite frequently since our class enjoys singing. It is pretty relaxing and the professor really enjoys singing as well. (Apparently, her class last year didn’t like to sing.) This was our teacher’s last day because she has to go train some new employees at her actual job and therefore we are getting a new teacher next week. So during our coffee break we literally ran to the nearby shopping mall to buy flowers and candy. We had to sneak them into the class room and since we still had to sign the card one of our classmates took her out into the hall pretending he had bowl problems. When she came in she was so surprised it was fantastic. Then we finished class, had lunch and an afternoon lesson. After class I wandered around school for a while, playing on the computer and just when I decided I would actually go explore the town I ran into a group of students outside the school so I talked with them. One guy is from Italy and has been helping me every now and again with Italian and another girl is from Vienna and she said I could stay with her when I come to Vienna in December! We were out in front of the school for a couple hours and then the journalist who had been covering our program (and hanging out with us) took us to this little restaurant for dinner. The food was pretty good except for the fact that the first thing 3 of us ordered (Klobasa) they came back a half hour later to tell us they were out…. Then we walked back to the river side had a drink and relaxed, catching the tram back around 10; a pretty good evening. Now Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we will be on an excursion so I will not be writing… but I will be sure to catch you up when I get back!
