Day 8- Pondelok

Today not much exciting went on. Class this morning we did some singing in Slovak and looked at song lyrics. We had our usual mid morning break and then more class. During lunch I took a nap because I was still exhausted from Sunday. Then more class… I actually got to speak with my teacher some more about traditional Slovak Christmas. She said that, like my family, many families before the 1970s/80s ate a meatless meal but many families still eat fish. My teacher said that the meat started to emerge in Christmas dinner as the Church relaxed and merely suggested people have a meatless meal. After class I hung out with Autumn, played cards, and waited for the singing workshop to begin. In this presentation, they showed us more contemporary music and were sung 7 songs. More waiting and homework completing and then they had a concert which wasn’t very good… and so I walked home. Short day with not too much going on. I miss you all! Lots of love!!!!!

P.S. After writing this I end up going to some one’s room and hanging out… they were having a birthday party for Peng (the Chinese guy) but it wasn’t his birthday… then I went upstairs to find an assistant and ended up hangout out with the staff, listening to a Slovak guy (Jakub) play guitar… it was very relaxing and peaceful.
Jacob and I the next day
